The ACMA Chinese New Year Dinner was held at The Eight Chinese Restaurant on Saturday, 27th February 2021.

In total, there were 127 attendees, with all but the 2 representatives from Douglass, being paid registrants. The white wine was generously donated by Dr KC Tang from his winery, Oculus. The red wine came out of the ACMA stock-pile.

The MC was Dr Tony Chu, who did a great job in making sure the evening flowed smoothly and conducted the trivia event. A covid-compliant lion dance was performed by Pak Hok Kung Fu International, with members generously contributing to the lion’s “basket”.

Diners feasted on a scrumptious 10 course seafood banquet. The photo booth, manned by Dr Ken Ho and Dr Leslie Lim, was a great hit, running hot all night with members striking a variety of poses for the camera.

Acknowledgement was given to Dr Stephen Li for 24 years of continuous ACMA Management Committee service. In attendance, there were 8 previous ACMA Presidents and members of the ACMA Charitable Trust.

I would like to thank our Gold sponsors, Douglass Hanly Moir, represented by Trish Killen and Tracey Stephenson, for their long term support of ACMA. I would also like to thank the manager, Samy of The Eight, for providing a delicious dinner and faultless evening.
